1) Cycling Form / Pedal Mechanics
a. Efficient transfer of power to the pedals / wheel – spinning circles using a Computrainer
b. Ankle Motion Flat – pointed – flat
c. Cadence – Flat / Hills
d. Straight Knees – No wagging in and out
e. Flat – Fast Healthy Back
2) Spine Posture – Healthy? Aerodynamic
3) Cardio Vascular / Muscular Efficiency
a. HR / Power / Estimated VO2 Max / Watts / Kg @ 75% HRM
4) Flexibility
a. Spine and extremity
5) Core Strength
6) Extremity Strength
7) Balance – On / Off bike
8) Handling – Flats / Hills / Corners / Descents
9) Food / Hydration
10) Training Structure and Foundation – Is it Based on Healthy Periodization working on various aspects of cycling – Speed / Strength / Endurance / Proper mileage progression


The analysis is broken down into 2-4 1.5 hour sessions (depending on the client’s needs and question) one on bike on the road. Sessions are $85 / hour. Many times several but not all components of the 10 point evaluation are done based on clients needs thus requiring less time and sessions.

The athlete will be given a list of strengths and weaknesses. Many choose work on their cycling limitations thru my services i.e. instruction in strength training program, cycling program, sport massage, physical therapy etc.
