Still Running Through Pain — or Not Running at All?

Persistent pain doesn't just slow your splits. It steals the runs, the races, and the identity you've worked hard to build.

The Runner Who Keeps Reinjuring

The same knee pain, the same hamstring strain, the same month off the trail. The injury cycle repeats because the underlying movement dysfunction was never corrected.

The Runner Cleared to Run, But Can't

Your MRI is clean, your surgeon says go, but every mile brings that familiar ache back. You need a biomechanics specialist, not another generic exercise program.

The Runner Who's Just "Managing" It

You've modified your training, swapped your shoes, taken ibuprofen, and accepted that this is just part of running now. It doesn't have to be.

Why Mountain View Runners Choose Revolutions In Fitness

Your Path Back to Running — Three Clear Steps

Step 1: Comprehensive Biomechanical Evaluation ($100)

Your journey starts with a full-hour assessment — not a 15-minute intake. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy evaluates your movement patterns, identifies the root cause of your pain or limitation, and builds a recovery plan specific to your body, your history, and your running goals.

Step 2: Targeted, Hands-On Treatment

Every session is 60 minutes of focused, one-on-one care — manual therapy, movement retraining, strength work, and sport-specific rehab designed to correct dysfunction at its source. Sessions range from $250–$300, with package discounts of 10%, 15%, or 20% for multi-visit plans. FSA/HSA eligible.

Step 3: Return to Running — Stronger Than Before

We don't just get you back to your baseline. We rebuild the biomechanical foundation so you run with better form, fewer injuries, and more confidence — whether you're training for your first 5K or returning from injury to compete at the Boston Marathon.

Running Physical Therapy for Every Injury We See

Runner's knee. IT band syndrome. Plantar fasciitis. Achilles tendinopathy. Hamstring strains. These aren't just diagnoses — they're the injuries that have forced you to DNS a race, skip a long run, or give up on a goal you worked months to reach. Our running physical therapy in Mountain View is built to address these conditions at their source, not just their symptoms. From acute strains to chronic overuse injuries, we treat the full picture — including the spine, hips, and pelvic floor mechanics that most clinics overlook.

  • Runner's Knee (Patellofemoral Pain), IT Band Syndrome & Shin Splints — the most common mileage-related injuries, treated with biomechanical correction and targeted manual therapy
  • Achilles Tendinopathy, Plantar Fasciitis & Ankle Sprains — load management, soft tissue work, and return-to-running progressions tailored to your training schedule
  • Low Back Pain, Hip Impingement & Hamstring Strains — full-body assessment that connects the dots between your stride mechanics and recurring pain patterns

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first visit to our Mountain View running PT clinic.

Do you accept insurance?

Revolutions In Fitness operates as a self-pay and out-of-network provider — by design. This means your care decisions are never dictated by an insurance company. We offer free courtesy billing and can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Sessions range from $250–$300, with a $100 initial biomechanical evaluation. All services are FSA/HSA eligible, and we offer package discounts of 10% (6 visits), 15% (12 visits), and 20% (20 visits).

What does a running physical therapy session actually look like?

Every session is a full 60 minutes, one-on-one with your Doctor of Physical Therapy — no aides, no double-booking. Your first visit is a comprehensive biomechanical evaluation that identifies the root cause of your pain or limitation. From there, treatment may include manual therapy, Active Release Techniques, movement retraining, strength and conditioning, and sport-specific running rehabilitation tailored specifically to your body and your goals.

Is running physical therapy only for serious injuries?

Not at all. We work with runners at every stage — from acute injuries like ankle sprains and hamstring strains, to chronic overuse conditions like IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and Achilles tendinopathy, to performance goals like return to running after surgery or prehab before a big race. If running is part of your life and something is getting in the way of doing it well, we can help. Still have questions? We'd love to hear from you.
